My first time at Nordic APIs and they let me have the main stage to talk about API Standards, specifically how these quite boring, quite longstanding existing conventions can be harnessed to get better results for our agentic projects. Please don't re-invent OAuth, please learn about and use the newest API standards like OpenAPI and Overlays, and please check out the existing industry standards in your sector and use them. Also: the standards don't write themselves, I hope I also gave a good plug for the advantages of making the standards in the first place!
