Screencasting was a fun medium, I can chatter but I don’t have to feel self conscious about being on video, and I can record a few episodes at a time as my schedule allows. Most of the work is in the preparation which I can do when I’m travelling, and just capture them when I’m in a good, quiet place with all my audio kit. This course was recorded over about a month, mostly in the early morning, and was only slightly hampered by my laptop dying completely in the middle of the process (doh!). I hope this finished version works both as a reference and as a full course to follow along with and try out for yourselves

Have been watching free videos and it’s great. I consider buying it. But you are talking and doing everything tooo fast. Had to pause all the time.
Oops, hope it’s not too fast. I try to keep the screencasts moving along because I know people can pause and repeat at their own speed, and it drags for everyone if it’s too slow. Hopefully pausing and repeating is helping you to adapt the content to your own learning style and pace.

I just purchased this, and so far I’ve learned a lot. Being new to Git, my job requires me to do pull requests sometimes to DB scripts and I had to learn quickly in the GitHub documentation. But seeing this tutorials is much better and is helping me to understand how to use Git properly :)
I have one question, I’m kind of new to Linux as well, and recently I installed Xubuntu… how can I make my terminal to look like yours :) with all the colors and stuff (like highlighting in a different color the current folder in the prompt). I noticed my emulation setting is set to XTERM.
